Diesel Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to diesel engines and related systems
- Diagnose and repair issues with brakes, tires, transmission, steering and other systems
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various repair tasks
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
- Communicate with customers regarding vehicle issues and recommended services.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while working in the shop or field
- Other tasks as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license (CDL strongly preferred)
- Must be able to read and speak English fluently
- Experience with Class 8 truck maintenance (at least 1 year preferred)
- Possess basic mechanical tools
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job
- Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
