Cincinnati Reptile Rescue is currently accepting reptile surrenders from owners who are no longer able to care for their animals.
We understand that circumstances change, and our goal is to provide a safe, stress-free transition for reptiles in need while ensuring they receive proper care, housing, and any necessary medical attention.
We accept:
Snakes
Lizards (bearded dragons, geckos, etc.)
Tortoises & turtles
Other captive reptiles (inquire if unsure)
What to know:
A surrender fee may apply, especially for animals with medical needs or injuries. This helps cover veterinary care, supplies, and rehabilitation.
Prior veterinary records, if available, are appreciated but not required.
We do not judge—our focus is the well-being of the animal.
If you’re considering surrendering a reptile or have questions about the process, please reach out with:
Species and age (if known)
Any health or shedding issues
Length of time you’ve owned the animal
