This rare 1972 Marshall Super Bass 100 is one of the import models converted to Super Lead 100 specs at the Marshall factory before it was shipped from the UK to the USA. My research found this was to meet demand for the the Super lead 100 heads exported to the USA in the early 70's. The pictured circuit shows the split cathode on V1 and the CDE (Cornell-Dubilier Electronics) cap on V1 matches the other CDE caps in the circuit. This amp was built at a short time during the summer when Mullard Mustards were nearly depleated and CDE was the substitute. There is glue residue on the back panel where the LEAD sticker was applied over the BASS at the factory but someone has peeled off. If you google search this factory conversion , you can see pics of what the LEAD sticker looked like. It retains the original transformers and has had the basic service upgrades which are the electrolytic filter caps, the bias caps and the AC power cable. So it says Super Bass but it is a Super Lead and very hard to find one as clean as this and it sounds SUPERB. Shipping can be arranged with the buyer covering the cost for shipping and insurance. Not interested in any trades as I am downsizing a large amp collection.
