One of several trumpets we are offering for sale, and I think our only student-level trumpet. This is a Holton Collegiate Bb trumpet. It was one of the most popular student trumpets for decades, American made, and infinitely better than what you typically find online or rent these days. It does have some lacquer wear and small dings throughout the horn but is still a good-looking horn and in perfect playing condition. In fact, it’s just been through the shop in June, 2026 where it was completely disassembled, dents removed, several braces resoldered, stuck tuning slides freed, was chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, and had all new tuning slide O-rings, water key corks and piston felts installed. Valves are free and smooth with no problems and excellent compression. Slide greases and valve oil are for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a bunch of original paperwork, 5C mouthpiece, Selmer polishing cloth and the music lyre. All in what is likely the original hard case with external wear but structurally solid and fully functioning, and we have other cases for sale separately if your student would rather have something different. A great horn which will be appropriate for several years for any beginning band student, and at less than the cost of a year’s rental!
