Here’s some info on this:
Get ready to stand out on stage with the Airline H35 Batwing Mandolin! This unique instrument features a stylish and eye-catching body design, perfect for Airline's selection of fifths-tuned "Eclectic Electric" models. The Batwing design maintains the elegance of a traditional F-Style instrument but trades the curves for a sharper and more distinctive look. Original vintage models were designed as an archtop hollowbody, but their massive neck block and fully hollow construction was impractical. Rather than match this detail, we made a couple of key changes to the tribute Batwing Series models to further cement this design as a true player's instrument.
The H35 Batwing models now feature a flat-top, tone-chambered body for resonance, while maintaining the feedback resistant qualities of a solid body. They are equipped with a hard-tail bridge and fully adjustable saddles for excellent intonation on each string. Humbucking pickups to make dialing in your ideal tone a breeze without any distracting, 60 cycle hum.
