Well you’ve come to the right place!
My name is Tommy Sartin. I have been playing guitar for 18 years. I am extremely passionate about the art of making music, performing music, and the study of music. I started off self taught but took many lessons myself to get to where I am today. I've played in cover bands, I’ve been a session musician, I have my own projects that I love making music for, and I love to share knowledge and skill pertaining to guitar. It is my true passion.
I am very well versed in rock, blues, classical and some jazz. Whether you are a beginner with the desire to finally take those first steps or you’re more advanced and want to delve more into music theory and soloing, I believe in a personalized curriculum to help you reach your guitar playing goals!
No Experience - If you’re starting from scratch, no problem. We’ll start you with the guitar basics, like reading tab, playing chords, and strumming. We can also learn any song that you’ve been wanting to learn, together. You’ll be playing and understanding your guitar after the first lesson!
Beginner - If you’re still in the beginning stages. You've spent a few months (or years) practicing basic stuff, but you’re still at a beginner level. We’ll clean up your guitar basics and get you on the right track. You'll start learning songs and soloing with basic scales.
Intermediate or more - If you know the basics and you've got a few songs that you're working on, but your playing still doesn't sound as good as good as you’d like; including clunky strumming and poor soloing skills, you play a lot of wrong notes, and you're often not sure about the song key. These issues are common and easy to fix!
We’ll get into rhythm, strumming, scales, soloing, extra chords, and techniques for better playing. You'll soon be on your way to an advanced level.
I am available for scheduling lessons in the evening times after 6pm Monday-Friday or Saturday-Sunday afternoon and evening time.
Lessons are held at my home studio in Franklin, OH. Address furnished upon request.
1st lesson is free. After that it’s $30 for a half hour or $50 for an hour.
I am also available for online lessons via any online avenue. (FaceTime, Teams, Discord, etc.)
Online lessons are $20 for a half hour or $40 for an hour.
