Project Overview:
Looking for a reputable, skilled carpenter, handyman, or deck specialist to replace the heavily weathered wood steps and safety railings on an outdoor deck staircase.
Scope of Work:
Treads: Remove and replace approximately 14 exterior stair treads (standard pressure-treated lumber).
Railings: Demolish and rebuild the guardrails, handrails, and vertical balusters on both sides of the flight to meet standard safety codes.
Structure: The main support posts and angled stringers appear structurally sound and do not need a full teardown—this is a resurfacing and railing replacement job.
Disposal: Contractor is responsible for the demo and hauling away of all old, discarded wood.
Note: Please see the attached photos for the exact layout and current condition of the staircase.
What We Are Looking For:
Proven experience in exterior carpentry or deck building.
Reliability, clean craftsmanship, and solid communication.
Must provide proof of general liability insurance.
References from previous local projects are highly preferred.
