Maintenance Technician
Anchor Facilities Management, LLC (“AFM”), a division of Anchor Associates, is looking for a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician to service AFM’s commercial real estate clients located throughout Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky. We are looking for a skilled craftsman/jack-of-all-tradesman who will provide high-quality work, great customer service, and share AFM’s commitment to exceptionalism. This position requires physical labor and involves the use of common hand tools and machines. Basic skillsets required for this position include carpentry, drywall, painting, and basic knowledge of the various construction & maintenance trades. This employee will be completing small to medium sized maintenance and repairs for commercial properties which may include retail shopping centers, and stand-alone retail and restaurant establishments. This position includes access to a company vehicle while on the work site, but special consideration will be given to applicants who already possess common tools and equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work courteously with customers and support on-demand maintenance and repair needs
• Must be self-motivated and able to handle multiple jobs with little to no supervision
• Skilled at soliciting bids for thirty-party services for specialized skilled trades, and able to oversee such work by third-party vendors.
• Maintain and use equipment safely and properly
• Perform general building maintenance tasks including performing timely repairs and scheduled maintenance on facilities, light carpentry, basic lighting and electric tasks, basic plumbing tasks, light demolition, on-call assistance for portering, clean-ups and other emergencies.
• Maintain detailed and complete records of maintenance, repair, and trouble-shooting activities
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Use computer/tablet/smartphone to modify and monitor work orders
• Other tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years’ experience in a construction related field and/or maintenance-related field.
• Live within the Greater Cincinnati area
• Have a valid driver’s license and be insurable for driving a company vehicle
• Complete a background and driving record check
• Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and independently
• Able to safely work at heights for extended periods of time, including on ladders and scissor lifts.
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Keen eye for detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to self-manage and perform each essential duty beyond satisfaction
• Excellent time management skills
• Effective communication skills
• Highly capable of troubleshooting general maintenance and repair issues and solutions.
