LORD OBSIDIAN ("SID") SEEKS HIS KINGDOM
Purebred Black Australorp Rooster Age: 1 year old (birthday = July 21, 2025)
Rehoming Fee: $50
Meet Lord Obsidian, known to his subjects as Sid.
Sid is a stunning purebred Black Australorp rooster with glossy black feathers that shimmer emerald green in the sunlight and a bright red comb that can probably be seen from space.
He is Healthy, Vigorous, Alert, and takes his job as Flock Protector VERY seriously.
And by "very seriously," I mean extremely seriously.
Sid is not a pet rooster. He is not a "carry him around and take selfies" rooster. He is a working rooster with strong protective instincts who believes his primary purpose in life is guarding hens and producing the next generation.
Unfortunately, my setup is not the right fit for him. Because I don’t want fertilized eggs, my hens are kept separate from him, and after several months of bachelor living, Lord Obsidian is frustrated and has made it abundantly clear that he would prefer a different employment arrangement.
IDEAL HOME:
============
>>> Farm
>>> Breeding program
>>> Experienced poultry keeper
>>> Access to hens
>>> Someone who understands rooster behavior
NOT IDEAL:
============
>>> Small children
>>> Elderly individuals with mobility limitations
>>> Anyone looking for a cuddly pet
>>> Anyone who thinks "how aggressive could one rooster possibly be?"
Sid is Energetic, Vocal, Confident, and Very Protective of his territory.
He has successfully convinced me that HE WOULD BE HAPPIER ON A FARM where his Genetics, Vigilance, and Enthusiasm can be appreciated.
This rooster deserves a good home where he can live his best rooster life and fulfill his destiny as ruler of a flock, rather than a frustrated bachelor living in the suburbs.
The rehoming fee applies to help ensure a serious home.
Please contact me if you have experience with roosters and think Lord Obsidian might be a good fit for your flock.
