Sitwell's Act II, now operating as Sitwell’s The Sequel, is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of General Manager.
The General Manager position at Sitwell's The Sequel organizes and runs the café to drive success. The General Manager position is key in meeting our efficiency goals and patron satisfaction.
Our ideal candidate will maintain the following skills and mindset:
1. Effective organization and problem solving
2. Quick implementation of new food options, beverage ideas, and promotions
3. Strong interpersonal and mediation skills, useful for acting as a liason between employees and customers
Ultimately, the duties of the General Manager is to make sure the café operates effectively, and that we keep our customers happy.
Compensation: Salary
Responsibilities
Assist in planning and implementing strategies to attract patrons, including collaborating with the Esquire Theatre on movie events
Coordinate daily customer service operations (e.g. sales processes, orders and payments)
Monitor and maintain inventory
Training and Development: Train and develop team members to meet and exceed performance expectations
Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of food and beverage quality, consistently delivering excellent customer experience
Lead and influence team members through effective motivation, leveraging individual strengths to ensure customer satisfaction and maximum productivity
Promote positive employee relations including effective delegation of managerial duties, fostering high staff morale, upholding operation standards, and execution of the performance management process
Handle complaints from customers
Make sure all employees adhere to company’s policies and guidelines
Act as our cafés representative and set an example for our staff
Responsible for all aspects of the operation including café, food, beverage, equipment, and property to facilitate the fulfillment of financial goals and company initiatives
Maintains a strong community presence through partnership with community and business organizations
Appreciation of diversity (thought, ethnic, gender, etc.)
Innovative and strategic thinker
Requirements
Proven experience as a manager/leader or similar position
Previous experience in a restaurant preferred
Familiarity with financial and customer service principles
Availability to work evening, weekend and holiday hours
Leadership and organizational abilities
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have a current ServSafe or similar Food Handling Certification, or be willing to attain within the first 30 days of employment
