Ando Japanese Restaurant is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual as a sushi assistant. Sushi
experience would be preferred but not necessary; we are looking for individuals with a positive and professional attitude interested in preparing traditional, Japanese food.
Sushi Assistant Responsibilities
- Prepares and maintains stock in sushi coolers
- Prepares sushi rice to meet restaurant standards
- Confirms and verbally communicates incoming orders
- Prepares maki (rolls) to meet restaurant standards
- Ensures the cleanliness of station and equipment
- Assists Sushi chef and with extra preparation including nigiri, sashimi, specialty items, and fish butchery
