Ando Japanese Restaurant is seeking experienced and enthusiastic kitchen staff to add to our
team in the EXPO/GARDE MANGER position. Japanese food
experience would be preferred but not necessary; we are looking for individuals with a positive and professional attitude interested in preparing traditional, Japanese food.
Expo Responsibilities:
- conduit of communication between FOH and BOH
- ensures all dishes leaving kitchen meet restaurant standards
- organizes and prioritizes incoming and outgoing orders in order to get the correct food to the correct place with efficiency
- maintain knowledge and awareness over menu item stock during shift and communicate low or out of stock status promptly to entire team
- keep it groovy
Garde Manger Responsibilities:
- prepares and maintains stock within cold-side coolers
- garnishes all dishes leaving kitchen appropriately and neatly
- ensures cleanliness of cold-side station
- plates and garnishes dessert orders
- assists in dessert preparation and garnish design
