New America, a nonprofit organization, is partnering with the City of Cincinnati to host a listening session with residents from the Walnut Hills, Evanston, and Mt. Auburn areas. We want you to share your thoughts about tools and strategies related to affordable housing and climate migration.
This interactive event will involve community members (that’s you!), nonprofit leaders, and policymakers. The purpose of this community design session is to co-create future visions for housing and community development in Walnut Hills and adjoining neighborhoods with anticipated climate migration and population change in mind. We plan to use our findings from the session to propose new solutions to ensure community members can remain in their communities and build for the future, while also welcoming newcomers.
No previous knowledge of climate migration or climate change is needed. We just want to learn from you.
Here are the details:
Location: In-person (Address will be provided when you are confirmed for the event)
Date: Tuesday, June 9th
Time: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Check-in at 9:00am with programming beginning promptly at 9:30am)
Incentive: $175 Visa prepaid gift card
Snacks and beverages will be provided.
