Meet your neighbors and share your thoughts on housing needs and climate change in your neighborhood-- enjoy a free lunch and a $175 gift card as a thank you gift!
We want to learn what you want to see in your neighborhood over the next 25 years, as climate change impacts where people choose to live.
New America, a nonprofit organization, is looking for residents from the Walnut Hills, Evanston, and Mt. Auburn areas to share their thoughts about tools and strategies to prepare the area's housing amid climate migration and welcoming newcomers.
This interactive community design session will involve community members, nonprofit leaders, and policymakers. The purpose of this community design session is to co-create a realistic and preferred future vision for housing and community development in Walnut Hills and adjoining neighborhoods amid anticipated climate migration, adaptation, and receiving newcomers. We plan to use our findings from the session to propose new solutions to ensure community members can remain in their communities and build for the future, while also welcoming climate migrants.
No previous knowledge of climate migration or climate change is needed. We just want to learn from you.
