This is a hybrid built for speed and distance, not a beach cruiser — if you want a bike that's quick on bike paths and capable as a daily commuter, this is it. The FX Alpha aluminum frame keeps the weight down (it's noticeably lighter than a typical hybrid), and the carbon fork takes the edge off rough pavement without adding bulk.
Drivetrain: Shimano Deore/LX 3x8 — a triple crank up front paired with an 8-speed rear cassette gives you 24 usable gear combinations, so you've got an easy gear for hills and a tall gear for flying on flat bike paths.
