Job Overview
The University of Cincinni, College of Engineering and Applied Science invites applicions for a Financial Administror 1 (FA1) / Financial Administror 2 (FA2) position to handle various financial and administrive duties for the College of Engineering and Applied Science. As a Financial Administror, you must be customer service oriented, a self-starter, well organized and have the ability to complete work independently, as well as assist others and work as a team. The Financial Administror will take direction from and report to Senior Business Administror in the Department of Civil & Architectural Engineering & Construction Management.
Major duties may include administrive, fiscal, and grant activities such as:
- Financial tracking/monitoring of a variety of accounts such as General Funds, Designed/Endowment/Gift funds, Faculty Startup, Gradue Assistants, Adjuncts, Grants, and other funds/accounts as needed
- Involved in HR and Payroll processes, including timekeeping
- Process various transactions in both CONCUR and PACE systems (i.e. purchasing, travel, contracts)
- Assist Dept business offices
- Assist in annual budget formulion
This position will offer flexibility for a hybrid remote work option for applicants with a residence within the Cincinni Tri-Ste Area. Hybrid remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.
Essential Functions
- Coordine and monitor fiscal administrive duties.
- Assist in the development of unit policies and procedures.
- Monitor the financial stus of unit programs and other budget allocions.
- Implement policies to ensure compliance with ste and federal regulions.
- Review and prepare Concur reports for reimbursements and purchasing card transactions
- Manage and reconcile budget accounts including the preparion of monthly reports.
- May coordine personnel functions for an opering unit.
- Perform reled duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed any time.
Required Educion
- Bachelor’s Degree must be in accounting or reled field.
- For FA1 - Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of educion requirement.
- For FA2 - Six (6) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of educion requirement.
Required Experience
- FA1 requires reled finance or accounting experience.
- FA2 requires two (2) years of finance or accouting experience.
Additional Qualificions Considered
- Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office products
- Strong planning and organizional skills with tention to detail
- Ability to work independently and to multitask
- Incumbent should possess solid customer service skills with a positive titude.
- Experience in budget management and grant management is preferred.

- Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.

Salary/Hourly Pay Re Informion: FA1 $47,800 - $53,100 and FA2 $57,700 - $64,000
