favorite this post A very special Hohner Clavinet D6 w/MutronIII built in ! hide this posting unhide

Hello Cincinnati,

Back in '78/'79 I was playing keyboards with some groups there in lovely Cincinnati. I had a D6 with a MutronIII mounted in the D6. I cut the top to fit it in there. You could play the top like a percussive intrutment. It was very cool, (I thought). Before leaving the area, I traded it at a Cincinnati (maybe in Covington?) music store for my first (Micro) Moog.

It worked well if you could keep all those strings in tune (ouch!). So... I'm wondering if anybody in the area would know it's where abouts or maybe you own it now?

I never got a picture of it, that would have been nice. I have altered a lot of keyboards over the years... specially installing mike boom holes in the side pieces so I didn't have to haul the extra 10lb stand base.

This is NOT a picture of it... I just stuck a pic of an MutronIII on a D6... the original was cut and inside the D6... not so professionaly done.

Have you seen it ? ? ? Any info would be greatly appreciated ! ! !

Thanks!
