I have owned this guitar since May 2019. It was purchased to replace a smaller, Mahogany version that had accompanied me on two trips to Portugal. This "Parlor" guitar has 12 frets to the body and a huge sound! It has yet to actually be taken on a flight. We are planning to move to Europe by early Summer, and I will no longer need a guitar to fly back and forth with. So, I have decided sell this guitar. The specs and description are all listed below. This guitar sells for $719.99 (Sweetwater Music, Reverb.com, etc.) and is currently out of stock at most music stores; (Yes, they are that highly in demand.) Comes with a second bone saddle and even a raincoat. The backpack case has a telescopic handle to wheel through airports, as well as shoulder straps to wear onto the plane. It also has a compartment for a 15" laptop. I will be happy to answer any questions you might have about this guitar. Below is a description from the manufacturer:
Travel-ready Parlor Acoustic-electric
When you need portability and great tone, the FP412 First Class Solid Sitka/Sapele Parlor acoustic-electric from Journey Instruments is an amazing instrument that truly has to be experienced to be believed. The FP412 features Journey Instrument's patented collapsible neck system that lets you detach and reattach the guitar neck with just a few simple clicks and turns, letting you easily fit the FP412 inside its included travel backpack and into overhead bins on planes. This traditional parlor acoustic features a solid spruce top and solid sapele body for exceptionally rich acoustic tone. A solid sapele neck with carbon fiber reinforcement is beautifully playable and responsive. And when you are ready to plug in, a proprietary under-bridge transducer pickup system delivers stellar amplified acoustic tone.
Travel-sized body with full-sized tone
The FP412's design and beveled soundboard armrest situates the body of the guitar closer to your body, making it ultra-comfortable to play as well as giving you an easier view of the fingerboard. The FP412 features a lower shoulder/bout depth that’s deeper than a dreadnought. This innovative shape is what allows such a small instrument to produce unbelievable volume and projection. In addition, traditional X-bracing on the FP412 enhances the balance, resonance, and volume as well. A quality ovangkol bridge and bone nut and saddle also add to the FP412's rich tone
