condition: good
make / manufacturer: Carmencita
model name / number: 3/4
size / dimensions: 36.5" (23" scale length)
This Carmencita is a 3/4-size folk acoustic with some unique attributes. It is a really fun guitar to play, simple as it gets and easy to learn on. It has a solid red spruce top, mahogany body, maple neck, brass frets, and a bocote or zebrawood fretboard. The style and materials date it no later than the early '70s. Someone with some skill owned it and restored it years back. The factory fretboard was replaced and the decorative rosette was removed. Its construction is solid. Whomever it was did a great job making a plain guitar something special.

It comes with a soft case, has new medium tension steel and nylon strings, but it can be strung like a traditional acoustic too. I installed new zinc alloy tuning machines. The light action and medium size really make this a treat to play.

Similar models on Reverb can be found, but none are like this one. I've looked at hundreds of guitar labels without finding the exact match for this Carmencita.
