Here's something you don't see every day: a custom guitar amp made from an old RCA 16mm movie projector. Back in the day, when the teacher was hung over, the weird kid from the AV club would wheel the movie projector into the classroom and the kids got a move while the teacher slept it off at her desk. The projector and audio system was a self-contained unit and the sound was amplified by a compact tube amp and removable speaker. Someone found one of these old projectors and figured out a way to mod it into a smokin' little tube guitar amp. This thing sounds amazing. When turned up, it has a ripping, fuzzy, vintage garage rock sound. At lower volumes it has a warm, slightly crunchy clean sound. The cabinet has a nicely matched Eminence Red Coat 10" speaker. This is a great recording amp and perfect for small club gigs. It gets a wide range of sounds considering it has only a single volume and single tone control. It also sound great as a bass amp when used with a bass cabinet.
