This is Cayde, a gentle rescue pup that managed to slip through a door around 10:30 PM, on Thursday, 12/20/2018.
Cayde has no concept of cars or traffic, so he has no problem running down the middle of the road. He was being chased around Oxford by the PD and Animal Control on Friday, 12/21/2018, in the early afternoon, but escaped view somewhere near Peffer Park.
Cayde was saved from a severe hoarding case earlier this year, so he's very timid and cautious of people approaching him or reaching down towards him, and WILL bolt away.
If you manage to get close, he will probably go into a submissive position but is still very scared and may lash out, despite not being aggressive in nature. Do not call his name, for he will flee; try coaxing softly with food, and call ASAP. Cayde loves soft food, and beef or bacon type flavors.
He has gorgeous eyes that "glow" a distinct greenish blue due to an extra thick coating of the tapetum, and an incredibly soft coat with small, white speckles (primarily around the face). He is missing his collar right now, so the best action is to call the Butler County Dog Warden and the contact listed.
