Essentially new and ridden a handful of times in the neighborhood — a Rivendell Rosco Bubbe bike (55cm). Custom professional build with LBS. My understanding has been it's a precursor/prototype to the Platypus model.
A great blend of responsive handling, comfort, and stability. A high-quality allrounder with a wide gear-range that can adapt to road riding, neighborhood cruising, and venture off into gravel and off-road trails. Room for wide tires. Mounting points for bags and lugged aesthetic details. I'm about 5'11" and it fits well. Could fit someone plus or minus a few inches I’d estimate.
Don't think it really needs anything other than the typical derailleur cable tensioning adjustments since the break-in period. Has frame tape and inner rust prevention treatment. A few really minor cosmetic blemishes.
Pics include some components, but highlights are: 2x drivetrain made of Shimano Deore and Microshift Sword (with a nice low climbing gear); 165mm cranks; Microshift friction/index thumbies; Tektro brakes, Velocity Cliffhanger wheels; Panaracer Gravelking SS tires 700x38; Shimano hubs; Uno adjustable stem; Velo Orange headset, kickstand
Serious inquiries only please. Saddle and pedals not included.
