A signed original 1961 stone lithograph titled Lavis et Rouge, Serie I: No. 1 by listed artist Joan Miro (1893 -- 1983). This piece is signed and numbered 6/30 in pencil, on Rives paper, from his Serie I, published by Maeght, Paris. This print is part of a series of works produced by using different combinations of stones in different states and colors. This rare and fundamental piece is part of a series of early works by Miro that laid the foundation for the prolific body of lithographs he later produced in the 60's and 70's. Provinence: estate sale, originally purchased from DeLind Fine Art Gallery in Milwakee, Wisconsin in the early 70's. Restored, deacidified, and professionally framed by Old World Restorations Inc. in Cincinnati, Ohio. Very large, print measures 39" x 26", framed dimensions are 50" x 40". Asking $4600.
