Christian singer/songwriter is seeking churches events to play in the winter and spring months. Trained musician with over fifteen years of music ministry experience and available references. I play a mix of contemporary / traditional /and original gospel music. My style is lively, upbeat and professional. I will play for a love offering where a love offering is feasible... very reasonable rates otherwise... will donate services for a worthy cause. Quality of work is monitored by an accountability system that involves your minister(or event coordinator), my minister, and myself. Christian for over 25 years. Worship leader and deacon in my home congregation in Kentucky, a medium size church established for over 100 years. Lead singer and MC for locally popular SG quartet with two album projects.

We're a metal band from Cincinnati called Five Stories Falling. We've been together for 2 and a half years and have played a lot of shows.We're looking for a drummer and bass player! Anybody and everybody are welcome to try out.

The current three members are the ages 19-20. But when it comes to people trying out we're not very worried about how old you are, anybody who wants to give it a shot is more than welcome to and we'll consider anyone of any age that is serious.

But there are some guidelines:

- Obviously, you must have your own equipment, i.e. bass, bass rig, drums, etc.

- You need to be able to practice 1-2 times a week. And then play shows 4-5 times a month. If you can't do this then please don't waste our time. We need to be at the top of our game and get our name out there as much as possible.

- Be able to take criticism. We all criticize each other and sometimes we're not the nicest people. But it is all with good intentions, we're just trying to make each other better as musicians. Plus there will always be those assholes out there who talk down about us because we are a metal band and cause we scream. You need to be able to roll with the punches and not let criticism stop you from reaching a goal.

- Be cool to be around. If your a complete dick then you won't last long with us. We'll knock you down to earth and then leave you behind because aside from a drummer and bassist we're also looking for someone we could hang out with. Friendship is also a key aspect to a band not falling apart.

- Most importantly, you have to be reliable. If we can't rely on you to be committed then we don't want you. Commitment is the key to success in anything you try in life.

Also, we all do alot to help the band. Whether its writing songs, booking/playing shows, or getting studio time, all we care about is having fun and we're looking for someone who also shares that goal.

I'm with the band called The Flight Station out of Cincinnati, OH and we are currently seeking a new bass player and keyboardist. Most recently in 2009 we were dubbed by Alternative Press Magazine as one of the top ten unsigned bands in the U.S. and we also secured spots on MTV's "The Real World" and several shows on DirecTV. Piont being, you would be entering a very established band and in fact we are starting talks with several labels at the beginning of the new year and anticipate to find a home in the next few months at a large indy label or a major. On top of that we are going to be releasing two EPs in 2010 working with producer Jim Wirt who has produced the likes of Incubus, Hoobastank, Jack's Mannequin, LIVE, the Rocket Summer and many many more. 18 year old guy here, looking to reform old band that I was in as a freshman in high school. Looking for all new players..bass, drums, another guitarist, and possibly keyboards if interested. I play guitar and sing. People have said my singing voice sounds like Corey Taylor of Slipknot when he is singing. On guitar I can shred and sweep, but not every song necessarily needs a solo and if you're better than me you can be lead, of course. Heavily influenced by Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Puddle of Mudd, Rammstein, Metallica, Pantera, System of A Down, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Smashing Pumpkins. Looking for something totally different, a grunge sound with a little metal thrown in that will be a complete slap in the face of all this crappy emo metal that's been making the scene. I was front man for this first band for about 4 years and have a lot of experience. Good skills are a must, although I'm mostly concerned about creativity rather than ability. Most likely little to no screaming. That being said, I also don't want to make any form of radio rock such as the infamous nickelback, saving abel, or theory of a deadman. There are many 'venues' that operate the same way that was described in the post about The Blue Note. They just don't understand that it is not the job of small area bands to bring in crowds. If you want that, you need to pay big money to regional talent that has a following. Some regional acts are based out of Cincy and are available. Just don't think they are going to play for chump change. Local bands that play often are not going to attract a big crowd. Local bands' regular fans can't possibly come out to every show. I saw some dude asking bands to bring a crowd to Latonia, Ky. to fill his bar that has 0 parking and NO regular customers...C'mon! If you want good local talent, bar owners should realize that the bands they hire are employees that are there to entertain the crowd that comes through the door and hopefully keep them there a little longer. Get the right kind of bands consistently that fit your crowd. (Maybe listen to them BEFORE hiring them) Do they ask the waitresses and bartenders to bring people with them? It makes the same sense. If local bands have a huge following, they should rent a hall and sell tickets. Is there really a local band that can fill all the bars/clubs they play? If so, I bet they don't play for less than 600 bucks. How many 'venues' offer that much $? Not many.
