I believe children learn through play. I do not use television to entertain children and feel they should have outdoor time and activities every day. I will develop an education program for your children based on their needs and interests, create a portfolio for each and keep you updated on their progress toward developmental goals.

~Many Field Trips to different places such as the zoo, the museum center, the art museum, the park, Kings Island McDonald's Playland, the conservatory, Chuck E Cheese's, etc. The zoo, the museum center, and many of the field trips will be no extra charge for your child(ren), but there may be small fees for some of the field trips. We currently (now that it is cold) take approximately two field trips each week and the kids love them and learn a lot! When it is not so cold, we go places more frequently and most days that we do not go to the museum or somewhere "big", we at least walk to the library or go to the park.

We do have pets (cats and dogs), but they do not go into the nursery or into the playroom so please no children who are allergic. We have full-time children and part-time children who come to our day care, but it usually averages out to be 4-5 children per day/at a time.
My mom works with me to run the day care as well as my roommate. There are almost always two workers which is very important (especially during the Winter) because if one of us is sick, there is always a back up and you do not have to worry about a sick child care provider or having to find someone else to watch your child. My roommate works during the day 3-4 days per week 7-1 so her and the dogs (she works at the doggie day care in Norwood) will be gone during those hours and that is when my mom works with me. Sometime all three of us work (example: if we go to the waterpark in the summer my mom may stay with the young babies while my roommate and I take the toddlers/older children), so it all works out great or if we are going somewhere during nap time for those babies who need it who do not sleep well in stroller or whatever the reason may be, my mom may stay here with them while they get their nap in.
The day care is open from 6AM-6PM (extended hours are almost always available with advance notice). The charge is $30 per day for part-time and $125 per week ($25 per day) for full-time (Monday-Friday). Extra hours (beyond 6pm) are $5 an hour. Usually weekend and night child care is available as well with advance notice.
Our place is very convenient to 71 (literally 1 minute from the Smith Edwards exit) and convenient to 75 (The Norwood Lateral is close). It is very close to area in Hyde Park, Oakley, and Norwood. During the school year, before and after school care available (rides to/from school) for neighboring school districts (Norwood, Pleasant Ridge, etc).
We have high chairs, pack n plays, strollers, car seats, etc. as well so you don't have to worry about transferring car seats.

I have been doing community service for about eight years through Kentucky 4-H classes and camp. This includes watching multiple children in a hectic setting away from home, so I am well enabled to watch a child in home.
I've also watched family's children several times, which I personally think is more difficult because the children feel as if they can get away with things due to being family.
I have experience with story time, play and healthy meals through my local 4-H and daycare center. I also have experience changing diapers.
I can provide personal references if needed, and possibly a 4-H reference, but I'm not sure if the same agent is still in charge, or even works there, as it's located on the far Western side of Kentucky.
I can also meet in person anywhere on the western side of Cincinnati, as far as Fairfield.
Will supply coloring books and possibly small snacks during sitting hours.
Also can do crafts for long hour sittings, and help teach children basic art and culture. Also can help with reading.
Will also pick children up from daycare services if needed. I have reliable transportation and a GPS.
I am willing to do drop off sittings at my apartment in Cheviot, but must bring own toys and baby food (and crib/playpen if needed).
As of right now, I can sit any hours and any days, as long as it's on the west side of Cincinnati, as far up as Fairfield, as I'm not familiar with the east side yet.
