Position Purpose:
Perform skilled and more difficult work to maintain, repair, inspect, install, rebuild, and construct all types of power plant electric and control equipment throughout the station including the diagnosis and correction of trouble that develops in such equipment and structures throughout the station including the diagnosis and correction of trouble that develops in such equipment.
Major Accountabilities:
• Employee will be knowledgeable of and follow all safety rules, procedures and practices.

• Employee will, when directed by supervision, report to assigned locations for the purpose of receiving training and will actively participate in the training activities.

• Employee will exhibit an adequate competency level pertaining to activities delineated in the Duties and Qualifications sections of this job classification. Demonstrate such competency via performance of job duties and training and testing programs administered at intervals prescribed by Louisville Gas and Electric to assure correct classification of employees.
• Employee will, during the normal performance of his duties, watch for and promptly report to supervision any damaged or defective equipment or conditions which may cause damage or injury.

SPECIFIC DUTIES
• Employee will perform skilled and more difficult work to maintain, repair, inspect install, rebuild, and construct all types of power plant electric and control equipment throughout the station; diagnose the causes of and correct trouble that develops in such equipment.
• Employee will perform work in connection with the installation, inspection, diagnosis, calibration, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment, instrumentation and control systems. Typical jobs could include installation and maintenance work on motors, generators, transformers, solenoids, exciters, precipitators, circuit breakers, conduit, cables, cable trays, controls, transmitters, meters, relays, analog and digital instrumentation and other electric, electronic, and pneumatic equipment and controls.
• Employee will use test and diagnostic equipment such as voltage meters, oscilloscopes, megger equipment, etc.
• Employee will mark blueprints to show any field changes which may have been made. 5. Employee will lay out any type scaffolding and rigging used in the work; direct or work on the scaffolding, rigging, and blocking.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Employee must be able to speak, understand, read and write English, and be able to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
• Employee must posses a minimum of a two year associates degree in Electronics or Engineering Technology.
• Employee must be able to learn to use the tools and equipment required in the work. Employee must be thoroughly familiar with the Company Safety Rules and willingly see that they are enforced.
• Employee must have a valid state driver's license and pass the Transportation Department's driver's test for operating Company vehicles.

• Employee must be rated qualified for entry into this classification under the Louisville Gas and Electric Company's Employee Performance Review Program and have satisfactorily completed all applicable training and testing programs.

• Employee must have at least 24 months experience as I/E Technician B or equivalent and successful completion of all training and testing programs required in that classification.

Position Purpose:
This engineering position is responsible for ensuring compliance with the mandates of pertinent environmental regulations and the disposition of coal combustion products. Implements and coordinates environmental protection and compliance activities assigned to the KY station.
Major Accountabilities:
• Oversee and guides the activities to place, monitor quality, and report on coal combustion products (CCP’s) for the KY station.
• Performs routine monitoring, audits and provides guidance of station compliance for all air, water, and solid waste requirements.
